Duo-pianists Nancy Matesky and Gloria Swisher perform “To Vienna and St. Petersburg with Two Pianos” at 3 p.m., Sunday, April 19 at the Campus Theater at Shoreline Community College. Travel on a journey of music from the romance of Vienna to the many facets of St. Petersburg with music by Gluck, Mozart, Godowsky and Shostakovich. The program will end with Moussorgsky's "Pictures at an Exhibition."
Professor Emerita Gloria Swisher taught piano and music appreciation for close to 25 years, Matesky is in her 30th year at the college, where she teaches piano and heads the piano department.
Tickets are $15 (general) $10 (senior, SCC faculty/staff, non-SCC students) and $5 (SCC students/children under 14 and are available at the door, the Cashier's Office in the FOSS Building or at Brown Paper Tickets at www.brownpapertickets.com. Proceeds will benefit the Shoreline Community College Piano Scholarship Fund.
