SCC Baseball Drops Final Two Games Of Year
SCC Baseball Drops Final Two Games Of Year:
The Dolphin Baseball Team dropped their last two games of the season to Skagit Valley College on Sunday at Meridian Park.
In Game 1, SCC was only one out from a victory, as they led 4-3 in the top of 7th with SVC down to their last at bat, but the Cardinals got a big hit to tie the game and won the game in the 8th inning with another run. Shoreline did come back from a 0-3 deficient with a 4 run 4th inning. The loss broke the 3 game winning streak for Jason Shaw, who had pitched great baseball in the previous three games, allowing only 1 run in 21 innings, but he was removed with 2 outs in the 7th inning. Shaw did not get the loss in the game and still only allowed 2 earned runs in this game.
In Game 2, SCC's bats were silent and SVC went on to a 3-0 win as the Dolphins could only muster 5 hits in the 9 inning game.
The Dolphins ended the year 6-31 overall and 5-19 in the region.
Skagit Valley is 15-28 overall and 9-15 in the region, but was tied in 4th place with Douglas College for the last playoff spot in the region.
