The Shoreline Community College Men's Basketball Team showed promise on Saturday night at Everett Community College before dropping a 121-116 game to the Trojans.
SCC's new transfer players made an immediate impact on the Dolphins, as Josh Youngblood scored 23 points in his debut for the squad along with newbies Kadeem Stewart with 20 points and Joe Dickinson with 14. SCC had a 10 point lead in the late stages of the first half and led 64-60 at half-time.
But SCC did not score in the first 4 minutes of the second half and allowed Everett to take the lead and Shoreline could not ever take control in the second half of the game.
Nahshon George scored 19 for SCC before he fouled out with his second technical of the night and Adam Johnson scored 17. Johnson was a workhorse under the basket for SCC, as he brought down 18 rebounds.
Shoreline falls to 1-9 on the season and 0-1 in the NWAACC Northern Region. EVCC moves to 8-5 overall and 1-0 in the region.
The Dolphins face Bellevue College on Wednesday night in the SCC Gym at 7:30 pm. Bellevue is 9-4 overall and 1-0 in the region after defeating Olympic on Saturday, 87-55.
