SCC Men's Basketball Beats Olympic 116-99

The SCC Men's Basketball Team broke open a close game late in the first half to lead 59-49 at the break and built up a 106-77 advantage  in the second half before clearing the bench in route to a 116-99 win against Olympic College on Saturday afternoon in front of a big crowd at the SCC Gym. The game was tied 6 times with 5 lead changes in the early going before the SCC press wore the Rangers down and SCC took control of the game.

D30_0718_sc.jpgSCC was lead by Earlie Dixon with 23 points, followed by Will Acromite with 18 and Avery Scharer had 15 points and 7 assists. Shoreline dominated the boards, out rebounding the Rangers 71-44 and outscored OC 56-33 from the bench.

SCC is now 8-5 on the year and 2-0 in the NWAACC Northern Region. SCC will play at North Seattle CC on Wednesday at 7:30 PM. Olympic falls to 3-9 on the season and 0-2 in the region.
