* Fall Convocation kicks off new academic year

Shoreline Community College faculty and staff kicked off the 2012-13 school year at Fall Convocation 2012, Sept. 20, in the PUB Main Dining Room.
First on the agenda was President Lee Lambert speaking on the theme of how Shoreline is a key component of improving U.S. higher education, getting people back to work and reclaiming the American dream. Next was Board of Trustees Chair Phil Barrrett, followed by VP of Academic and Student Affairs James Jansen and Student Body Association President Kanpong Thaweesuk.
The event also recognized new employees and then gave employee awards, including:
- Faculty Excellence - Judy Penn
- Classified STAR of the Year - Patricia Wade
- Administrator of the Year - Norma Goldstein.
