Is Distance Education Right for You?

Credit courses taught at a distance fulfill the same curriculum objectives as those on campus and are authored and taught by the same faculty members who teach on campus.  Students new to college as well as working professionals choose distance courses for convenience and flexibility of scheduling: to avoid the commute to campus, because they're constrained to work from home or office, or their work requires a lot of travel.

What You Should Know
But eLearning is different than taking a class on campus.  You need to be computer literate and a bit Web-savvy.  You need a computer, a good Internet connection, and a private time and place to work. You need to be a self-starter and able to set and stick to a weekly schedule.

Is It For You?
Now, if you are still in doubt, take this unrecorded, self-guided questionnaire IS IT FOR YOU? and make your decision whether to register for on-campus courses, distance courses, or a flexible mix of the two.

And don't forget to check out the degrees and certificate programs you can pursue entirely at a distance.
