Coaching Staff

Greg Turcott enters his third season as head coach at Shoreline Community College after guiding the Dolphins to one of their most successful seasons in recent history in 2011-12.  Last year saw Shoreline improve to a 19-12 record, a berth to the NWAACC tournament and a 7th place overall finish going 3-1 at the championship. Most impressive was that the team averaged 105 points per game for the regular season and led all junior colleges in scoring for the 2011-12 season after adopting the famous Loyola Marymount system.

 

The Dolphins also had the help of former college star and NBA first round draft pick, Bo Kimble, who served as a volunteer assistant coach, which made news across the country.

 

Greg was a high school coach prior to coming to Shoreline CC, coaching at Bishop Blanchet, Kamiak, and Archbishop Murphy High School. Most important to Coach Turcott is his beautiful family, his wife Ellie and two daughters Katie 9, and Maddie 6!y.

Assistant Coach: Ben Cartmell enters his first year as Assistant Coach for Shoreline CC Men's Basketball. Cartmell grew up in Richland, WA. He attended Washington State University from 2005-2010 receiving a Bachelor of Arts Degree in History and Social Studies. While at WSU he worked under Coaches Dick Bennett, Tony Bennett and Ken Bone as the Men's Basketball Team Manager. Basketball has always run in Cartmell's family as his father is a NCAA Division I Referee and his brother played at Carroll College. Currently he works as a Middle School Teacher in the Seattle School District. He lives in Seattle with his wife Lonnie.

Volunteer Assistant: Adam Jose is in his 3^rd year as the Assistant Coach for Shoreline CC. Coach Jose's responsibilities include training the guards and wings, recruiting, and helping players get to four year schools. Born in Seattle WA, Jose graduated from Bishop Blanchet High School where he was a Varsity Letterman in 3 sports. He continued his education at Shoreline Community College where he obtained his AA degree. He continued his education at the University of Phoenix where he received his Bachelors Degree in Human Services Management. Jose is currently employed by the Seattle School District as a Special Education Assistant at Jane Addams K-8. He currently lives in Seattle with wife Charlene and 4 year old son Marcus.
