Lance Swehla begins his 7^th season as Head Softball Coach for Shoreline Community College. Swehla has built a solid program at SCC with a region championship in 2009 and 2 second place region finishes in the past 3 years with trips to the NWAACC Championship each of those years. 

 

SCC Softball consistently produces All-Region players on the field, and the SCC Softball Team has set the standard for academics with the majority of squad being honored by the college as members of the Academic Athletic Clubs.

 

Assistant Coach Athea Surface

Athea Surface begins her second season as the Assistant Softball Coach at Shorline CC. Athea pitched 2 seasons for the Dolphins and then played two seasons for the University of the Incarnate Word in San Antino, TX.

 

Athea was All-Region at SCC for two years and participated in the NWAACC All-Star Showcase.

 

Surface is now a private pitching coach, giving lessons for Seattle area youth.
