Coaching Staff

Head Coach Ray Bachmann was born and raised in Chicago, where he received his education.  In high school he was captain of the tennis team, and upon graduation was awarded a full athletic scholarship at DePaul University.  He finished his formal education when he received his Bachelor's and Master's from the school.  In his professional career, Ray was the Head Pro as well as Facility Manager at the Wilmette Tennis Club in Wilmette, Illinois for 28 years.  He currently teaches tennis lessons at the Pro Sports Club in Bellevue WA and functions as the Men's and Women's Tennis Coach at Shoreline Community College.  In addition, he is also the Head Summer Pro at the Arbor Heights Swim and Tennis Club in West Seattle.  In 2010, Ray was inducted into the DePaul University Athletics Hall of Fame  in Chicago as a member of the university's outstanding 1967 tennis team which took fifth place in the NCAA tournament that year.  Ray can be reached at rbachmann@shoreline.edu or 206-546-4525. 

 

Volunteer Assistant: Christine Yang - Christine was a two-year player for

SCC Women's Tennis in 2009-10 and 2010-11. She played at the #1 singles spot and #1 doubles as well. Christine played her high school tennis at Shorewood High School and now attends the University of Washington.

Asistant Coach: Ashley Stout played high school

and junior college tennis in California. He played University tennis in North Carolina.  He has coached high school girls, junior college men and women,

and was a four year college volunteer coach. Coach Stout is in his second year with SCC.  Currently he works as a Pro at the Harbor Square Tennis Club.
