Applying to the Biotechnology Lab Specialist Program

Applying for the Biotechnology Certificate program:

• Step 1: Print the planning sheet and indicate if you have fulfilled the prerequisites either by taking the classes at Shoreline or another college within the last 5 years.  (If you have equivalent professional experience that you would like to substitute for a class, discuss this with a Biotech advisor, who will decide if it is acceptable.)
• Step 2:  Contact an advisor (see box at right for contact info) to discuss your application.
• Step 3: Complete the application and mail it to the Biotech Program Manager along with the planning sheet from Step 1, and a copy of your transcript(s) that documents the completion of prerequisite classes.

Applying for the Biotechnology Degree program:

• Step 1: Print the planning sheet and indicate if you have fulfilled the prerequisites either by taking the classes at Shoreline or another college within the last 5 years.  Please indicate the grades you have received for each of these classes. Indicate the time when you plan to take classes that have not been completed.
• Step 2: Contact an advisor (see box at upper right for contact info) to discuss your application.
• Step 3: Complete the application and mail it to the Biotech Program Manager along with the planning sheet from Step 1, and a copy of your transcript(s) that documents the completion of prerequisite classes.
