Overview

Business is a dynamic field comprised of organizations that provide goods and services to those who need and want them. The Business Program at Shoreline provides essential learning of basic business principles to include managerial leadership, marketing and sales, effective supervision, international business, and legal issues related to business.

The field of business is very broad, leading to exciting opportunities that match your specific area of interest. From banking and finance, to sales and marketing, accounting, purchasing and management, Business majors compete well in today’s workforce.

Program Options

The Associate in Applied Arts and Sciences is designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills in a specific career field to enter the workforce directly upon completion of the degree.

The Associate in Arts transfer degree prepares students for entrance into baccalaureate Business programs with junior standing. Students must complete 90 credits comprised of general education courses, distribution requirements and prerequisite business courses for admission into business schools. Many Business programs are competitive, so the admission GPA is usually much higher than the 2.0 required for the degree. In addition, Business Schools often offer areas of specialization or concentrations of study in business. Students should check with transfer institutions for specific program offerings.
