Our program infuses principles of multicultural and anti-bias education into all of our courses, in recognition of the importance of preparing teachers and caregivers to work in our pluralistic society.
Many of our courses are online, and our certificates and degrees can often be completed online. Our faculty advisors can assist you with exploring this option.
Credit for Prior Experiential Learning
Credit is available for some students who have experience in early childhood settings and have completed coursework elsewhere before coming to Shoreline.
Transfer of Courses from other Early Childhood Programs
Our faculty will work closely with you to maximize transfer of any courses taken elsewhere in order to optimize your prior academic work.
Articulations Agreements with 4-Year Institutions
The Education Program at Shoreline articulates well with many of the four-year colleges in Washington for Early Childhood and Elementary Education programs.
On-Campus Lab School
We collaborate with our on-campus childcare, the Parent Child Center, to provide a setting for practicum and internship experiences for students. We have numerous connections with a variety of other off-campus programs and public school settings for students who are interested in other options for practicum and internship placements as well.
