Scholarship Info

 

Three scholarships are available to current SCC students studying mathematics.  Please visit the SCC Foundation page to find out more about these scholarships and other more general scholarships. 

  1. The Professor Emeritus Dr. Bill Johnson Memorial Scholarship.  Dr. Johnson was a professor of mathematics at Shoreline Community College for 25 years. He had a strong commitment to student success and was always willing and available to help students in the sometimes perplexing world of mathematics.  This scholarshipis intended for students who are within three quarters of graduation from SCC and have shown a strong emphasis of study in mathematics or science.  
  2. The Joseph Wood Rogers Memorial Scholarship in Mathematics.  Joe Rogers was an associate faculty at Shoreline Community College. He received his PhD in electrical engineering, but his true passion was mathematics. This scholarship is given to assist promising students to continue their studies in "pure" mathematics. The award is to be used for tuition at an accredited four-year college or university.
  3. The Boeing Company Scholarship.  Through the generosity of the Boeing company, this scholarship is being offered to support a student pursuing a degree in math, manufacturing or engineering.
