Financial Aid
Introduction
Financial aid is available to eligible students (
to learn more about eligibility criteria for federal financial aid, please click here) Applying for financial aid has been made easier through the use of online application processes. There are many steps involved in the process depending on your situation.

Don't Delay. It is a good idea to start the financial aid application process two to three months before you wish to start school.

To apply for the 2008-2009 academic year (Summer 2008 through Spring 2009) begin with the 2008-2009 FAFSA (available online at www.fafsa.ed.gov).

Check the Calendar to determine the start of the next quarter and for quarterly deadlines. Try to submit the FAFSA at least six weeks prior to the appropriate deadline; additional documents will be required. You may seek assistance from our Financial Aid Office.

Maximum Aid
For maximum aid, students should complete their financial aid files for the 2008-2009 year by April 30, 2008.
Students completing their files after this date are able to receive financial aid and are encouraged to apply.

Current Students
Students who are currently attending (Spring Quarter 2008) with questions about eligibility for financial aid right now should contact the Financial Aid Office.

Recommended Financial Aid File Completion Date:
April 30, 2008

Students completing their application process after this date can still receive aid and are encouraged to apply; completed files are reviewed in date order.

For a file to be considered complete:
a) The FAFSA must be processed by the federal processor;
b) valid FAFSA results must be received by Shoreline; and
c) all other documents must be submitted to our office.

To receive the maximum amount of your aid eligibility, complete your file by April 30, 2008.

Students completing files after this date should plan to pay for tuition first with their own funds until aid is available to reimburse them. The option to defer payment of tuition is available through the Financial Aid Office for students who qualify.
