More about Nursing Assistant Certified

Employment is available at many hospitals, nursing homes, and other health care settings. Students who are preparing for a Registered Nursing training program often train and work as a Nursing Assistant Certified (NAC), also often referred to as Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), to get experience in the field of nursing.

 

Shoreline's program

Shoreline Community College offers a one-quarter, short-term certificate Nursing Assistant Certified training program. Additional certificates are available in:

  • Dementia for Caregivers
  • First Aid / CPR
  • HIV / AIDS Training
  • Observation and Documentation
  • Nurse Delegation
  • Mental Health
  • Nurse Delegation Diabetes  

Language and math assistance

Students may also receive extra support in English language, math and basic skills while earning the NAC certificate.

 

Tuition assistance

Financial assistance through a variety of programs is available for those students who qualify.
