English as a Second Language (ESL)

Shoreline’s English as a Second Language Program offers English language classes for non-native English speaking immigrants, refugees and citizens.

Our Adult Basic Education ESL (basic skills) offers six basic levels of classes, available  in the daytime and the evening hours. In addition, we offer two academic levels of ESL.

Our classes help students improve their reading, writing, speaking and listening skills. Our advanced level classes prepare students to enter our college level classes or professional technical programs.

We offer intensive classes both in the daytime and evening hours.

Apply Now

  • Take a free placement test – We will send you a letter and/or email about taking the test.
  • Sign up! – We will send you a letter with information to register for classes.

Costs

  • Classes cost $25 per quarter. (Some applicants qualify to take classes for free)
  • Books costs vary from $30 to $100 dollars.
  • Parking is $45 plus tax. Free off-campus parking and shuttle service is available near the college. Evening parking on campus is free.
