Free Online Tutoring

Shoreline Community College is a member of the Western eTutoring Consortium (WeTC), which provides free online tutoring.  As of January 2013, WeTC consists of 43 colleges and universities in six western states.  Students can interact with tutors in a live online chatroom, submit eQuestions (such as when they're stuck on a math problem), and submit papers to the online writing lab and expect a response within 48 hours. 

 

Students can participate in online tutoring for the following subjects:

  • Anatomy & Physiology
  • Biology
  • Calculus
  • Chemistry
  • Economics
  • Engineering (Circuits & Digital Systems only)
  • Math (Developmental through Trig.)
  • Microsoft Office

 
  • Outpatient Medical Coding
  • Physics
  • Psychology
  • Spanish
  • Statistics
  • Web Development (xHTML, CSS, & Dreamweaver)
  • Writing (for any course)

To access eTutoring:

  • Go to www.etutoring.org.
  • Click on the red Login arrow.
  • Select Western eTutoring Consortium.
  • Select Shoreline Community College from the pull-down menu.
  • In the “Login” window choose Student and follow the directions for logging in.

 

Available Dates

Shoreline students have access to eTutoring throughout the dates below (access ends each quarter on the last day of instruction and is not available during finals or quarter breaks):

  • Summer: June 24 - August 15, 2013
  • Fall:  September 29 - December 6, 2013
  • Winter:  January 8 - March 17, 2014
  • Spring:  April 2 - June 9, 2014
