Foundations of Electronic Music
This fully online, 17-credit certificate provides core concepts and skills necessary for the production of electronic music. It provides students the groundwork for continued study and access to the industry. Enrollment is available in fall, winter and spring quarters.

Successful completion of these classes result in a Certificate of Completion. They are also core requirements of the Associate of Applied Arts and Sciences (AAAS) degree in Electronic/MIDI Music Production available at Shoreline Community College (The full AAAS degree is not yet available fully online). |
| Career Opportunities |
|
Electronic music producer/technician, game audio specialist, jingle writer, multimedia producer, multimedia (CD and DVD) production, and music composition.
Potential employers include: Microsoft, Nintendo, gaming companies like Pop Cap, 343 Industries, 5th Cell, ArenaNet, Bungie, Flying Lab Software, GameHouse, and Turn 10 Studios. Other areas include some religious institutions which are installing electronic music equipment and creating employment opportunities for skilled technicians.
Also, it is important to note that the majority of electronic music technicians work as independent contractors.
