* SCC Women's Soccer Player of the Week - Danielle Norton
The 5'2" freshman forward from Marysville's Pilchuck High School scored a goal against Lower Columbia College in SCC's 7-0 victory.
SCC is now 3-2-3 on the season and 3-1-0 in the NWAACC Northern Region. The Lady Dolphins play Highline Community College at Dolphin Field on the Shoreline CC campus on Wednesday at 2 p.m.

* Lady Dolphin Soccer Ties Highline Community College
Freshman Mireya Saucedo. from Edmonds-Woodway High School, scored in the first half for SCC but the Dolphins let victory slip away in the 83rd minute as HCC tied it up. Saucedo scored on an assist from Lauren Schoonover in the 18th minute.
SCC is now 3-2-3 on the season, 3-1-1 in the NWAACC Northern Region. SCC plays at Bellevue College on Saturday at noon. Highline is now 2-4-1 on the season.

* SCC Women’s Soccer Falls to Peninsula 2-0
The Lady Dolphins gave up goals in the 9th and 19th minute of match and could never recover in their 2-0 loss to Peninsula College on Saturday in Port Angeles, WA. The SCC squad also showed its frustration by getting 3 yellow cards on Saturday while PC had none.
SCC is now 3-2-3 on the season and in second place in the NWAACC Northern Division with a 3-1-0 region mark. SCC plays Highline Community College (2-4-0 record) on Wednesday at Dolphin Field at 2 p.m.

* Shoreline CC Women’s Soccer Team Wins Third In A Row With Rout Over Lower Columbia College
Wai Yuen Ting, a freshman forward from Hong Kong, scored two goals as SCC cruised to a 6-0 halftime lead and 7-0 victory over Lower Columba College. SCC has now won 3 in a row and are 3-1-2 on the season, 3-0-0 in the NWAACC Northern Region and in first place. Sara Gilmore, Jenny Voss, Anastaja Norins-Endres, Kendra Holley and Danielle Norton scored single goals for SCC.
The Lady Dolphins travel to Peninsula College on Saturday for a noon match in Port Angeles, WA.

* Lady Dolphin Soccer Wins Second In A Row
Mireya Saucedo has exploded onto the scene for the Shoreline Community College Women's Soccer Team, scoring four goals in two games since joining the team on Monday. The freshman from Edmonds-Woodway High School missed the first 3 games of the season but began practice on Monday and scored two goals in her debut match in a 5-1 win over Olympic College. SCC defeated Tacoma CC on Saturday in Tacoma, 3-2 as Saucedo scored two goals including the winner at the 86th minute mark and Tylyr McLean added another goal for SCC as they ran their record to 2-1-2 for the season and 2-0-0 in the NWAACC Northern Region. SCC had three assists on scored goals on the day, as Sara Gilmore, Kendra Holley and Danielle Norton added one each.
SCC is tied with Edmonds CC on top of the region standings after the first week of region counting play. Tacoma falls to 1-3 on year. Shoreline will host Lower Columbia College on Wednesday at Dolphin Field on the SCC campus at 2 p.m. LCC is a first year program has a 1-3 record so far after beating Skagit Valley College on Saturday.

* SCC Women’s Soccer Wins 5-1
The Lady Dolphin Soccer Team won its first game of the year, 5-1 over Olympic College on Wednesday at Dolphin Field on the SCC campus. Freshman Mireya Saucedo, playing in her first game of the season scored two goals and had an assist to lead SCC to the win. Jenny Voss, Anastaja Norins-Endres and Danielle Norton each scored one goal each for Shoreline.
SCC is now 1-1-2 on the season and 1-0-0 in the NWAACC Northern Region. SCC plays at Tacoma Community College on Saturday at Noon.

* SCC Athletics Weekend Round-Up: Women's Soccer
The banged up Lady Dolphin Soccer Team hopes to rebound from their 6-0 loss to Walla Walla Community College on Monday. WWCC is the #1 ranked team in the NWAACC with a 3-0-1 record. SCC did receive 1 point in the first the NWAACC Women’s Soccer Poll and has a tie with #6 ranked Clackamas CC. SCC is 0-1-2 and played to two ties at the NWAACC "Friendlies" Tournament last week at the Starfire Complex in Tukwila, WA. SCC played WWCC closely last Monday, only being down 2-0 midway through the second half of the match, until several injuries slowed the team down and Walla Walla scored 3 goals in 13 minutes to rout SCC in the end.
Two Northern Region rivals are ranked in the NWAACC Women’s Soccer Poll, with Everett CC being ranked 3rd and Edmonds CC being ranked 5th. Everett tied Walla Walla last week and Edmonds is out to a 4-2 start to their season.
SCC faces Olympic College on Wednesday at Dolphin Field on the SCC campus at 2:00 PM. This is a mandatory NWAACC crossover game between the Northern and Western Regions, which count in the region standings for each.
SCC does have good news, as the team picked up four more players during the week and all of the injured players will return to action this week as well.

* SCC Soccer Swept By Walla Walla CC: Women's Game
The Shoreline Community College Soccer Teams were swept by Walla Walla Community College on Monday at the Dolphin Soccer Field on the Shoreline campus.
In the women’s game, the powerful Walla Walla team found it tough going against the stubborn SCC defense, but WWCC broke through at the 31st minute and followed up again shortly later to take a 2-0 lead into halftime. In the second half, injuries starting taking its toll on SCC, as they lost their starting goal-keeper and a couple of other players and Walla Walla took advantage, scoring 3 goals in the 13 minutes to put the game out of reach.
The game was stopped in the 85th minute as a back injury to one SCC player needed emergency response help and the game was called with WWCC up 6-0.
SCC falls to 0-1-2 on the season while Walla Walla moves to 3-0. WWCC has won their three games by the total of 15 goals to 0. SCC has 9 days to recover from its injuries and plays Olympic College on September 14th at the Dolphin Soccer Field at 2:00 PM. The game is part of the region counting crossover games with the NWAACC Western Division and will count in the North Region standings.
