Shoreline CC Softball Drops Region Doubleheader To Olympic College
The Shoreline Community College Lady Dolphin Softball Team dropped their second NWAACC Northern Region doubleheader in a row on Saturday to Olympic College. SCC loss to Douglas College in a doubleheader on Tuesday to open region play.

SCC lost 2-1 and 10-9.

300_2311.JPGIn Game 1, SCC's Kelsie Mason pitched well, allowing only 2 earned runs over 7 innings, but the Dolphins could not pullout the 8 inning game. OC lead 1-0 going into the 7th inning, but Shoreline tied it up in the top of inning, but OC scored in the bottom of the 8th to end it. Mason struckout 5 with no walks on the mound. Mason also had 2 hits in the game and drove in the Dolphin's only run.

In Game 2, SCC scored 5 runs in the top of the third inning, but Olympic scored 10 unearned runs in the bottom of inning to lead 10-5. Shoreline scored 4 more runs in the top of 6th inning, but could not tie it and loss 10-9. Greta Coleman had three hits and Alia Kelly homered for SCC.

SCC is now 5-11 on the season and 0-4 in the region. SCC will play on Tuesday against Edmonds Community College.
SCC Softball Drops Two Games To Douglas College
The Lady Dolphin Softball Team dropped two games to Douglas College in Vancouver, BC on Tuesday. SCC loss 4-1 and 7-5 in the doubleheader in the opening games of the NWAACC Northern Region schedule.

D30_2624_sc.jpgIn Game 1, SCC was limited to 3 hits and struckout 14 times versus DC ace pitcher. Vallen Brewer had a solo homerun for the Dolphins.

In Game 2, was the opposite story, as the Lady Dolphins loss a slugfest with Douglas, 7-5, SCC was outhit 14 to 10 in the game.

SCC falls to 5-9 on the season and 0-2 in the region. SCC plays next at Olympic College on Saturday. 
SCC Names Alexis Salcedo As "Softball Player of the Week"
Shoreline Community College on Tuesday named Alexis Salcedo as Softball Player of the Week for March 18-24.

DSC_8779x.jpgSalcedo, a freshman from Zillah High School in Zillah, WA, went 3-5 in the two games played last week. The infielder had the lone SCC hit against Clackamas Community College on Saturday, as the Dolphins lost that game 8-0 and then she went 2-3 against Mt. Hood Community College but the Dolphins dropped that game 6-2. 2 of her 3 hits were doubles.

SCC plays today at Douglas College in Vancouver, BC, as they open NWAACC Northern Region play across the border in Canada at 2:00pm. SCC travels to Olympic College on Saturday and then returns on Tuesday, April 2 against Edmonds CC at Shoreview Park at 1:00pm.
Lady Dolphin Softball Struggles At Inter-Region Tournament
The Shoreline Community College Softball Team dropped two games on Saturday at the NWAACC Inter-Region Softball Tournament in Centralia, WA. The Dolphins loss to Mt. Hood Community College 6-2 and then dropped an 8-0 match-up with Clackamas CC.

300_2150.JPGIn the opening game, SCC faced a tough Mt. Hood pitcher, as SCC went down with 14 strikeouts in the game, and only 4 hits. Alexis Salcedo led SCC with 2 hits and Alia Kelly hit a 2 run homerun, but SCC could muster no other offense in the game. Alia Kelly took the loss on the mound, giving up 6 earned runs and 11 hits with 5 walks.

In game two, it was more of the same, as SCC was 1 hit on the day, with Salcedo getting the only hit and SCC striking out 12 times in the game. Kalsey Mason took the loss on the mound for SCC, giving up four Clackamas homeruns and allowing 6 walks.

SCC Softball is now 5-7 on the season and travels to Vancouver, BC on Tuesday to face Douglas College to open the NWAACC Northern Region schedule against the Royals.
Alexandra Ekonomakis Named SCC Softball Player of the Week
300_2379.JPGFreshman third baseman Alexandra Ekonomakis was named SCC Softball Player of the Week for her play on Saturday against Big Bend Community College.

Ekonomakis, from Kingston High School, in Kingston, WA, was 3 for 4 on against Big Bend, with a double, scored 4 runs, had 2 RBIs with three stolen bases, two walks and one hit by pitch.

SCC only played two games on the week, as they were rained out on Sunday at the NWAACC Inter-Regional Tournament on Sunday. The Lady Dolphins are 5-5 on the season and travel to Centralia, WA next weekend for four games in the Inter-Region Tournament there.
SCC Softball Sweeps Big Bend Community College
The Shoreline Community College Softball opened its home season on Saturday with a doubleheader sweep of Big Bend Community College at Shoreview Park, 9-4 and 8-4.

In Game 1, Kelsie Mason got the win on mound, throwing 7 complete innings and giving up 3 earned runs, with 4 strikeouts. The Dolphins banged out 15 hits in the game with Alia Kelly and  Alexandra Ekonomakis each collecting three. Ekonomakis had a double, Alexis Salcedo a triple and Nicole Reyling a homerun in the offensive attack.

In Game 2, Alia Kelly collected her first win on the mound of the season and hit her 3rd homerun of the season as well. Nicole Reyling, Vallen Brewer and Kelly each had 2 hits to lead the SCC offense.

SCC evened its season record at 5-5 and travels to Longview, WA today to play in a NWAACC Inter-Regional Tournament and faces Mt. Hood Community College at 1:00pm and South Puget Sound CC at 3:00pm.
Alia Kelly Named "SCC Softball Player of the Week"
D30_7830_DSC_2574_sc.jpgShoreline Community College announced on Tuesday that Alia Kelly has been named SCC Softball Player of the Week for her offensive performance during the past week (March 4-10).

Kelly had 5 hits in 11 at-bats in four games for the Lady Dolphins, including a double and homerun. Kelly collected 3 RBIs and scored two runs as well and was the starting pitcher in two games.

SCC went 1-3 on the weekend. splitting a doubleheader with Southwestern Oregon CC and being swept by Chemeketa CC. SCC opens its home season on Saturday at 1:00pm at Shoreview Park against Big Bend Community College. SCC then will travel to Longview, wA on Sunday to play games against Mt. Hood CC at 1:00pm and South Puget Sound CC at 3:00pm.
SCC Softball Goes 1-3 Over Weekend In Portland
The Lady Dolphin Softball Team traveled to Portland, OR over the weekend but struggled in the four game set, winning one and losing three games.

On Saturday, SCC split a doubleheader with Southwestern Oregon CC as the Dolphins dropped a 4-2 game but came back to win 7-2. Kelsie Mason picked up the win for SCC on the mound, pitching a 7 hitter while striking out 4 with 2 walks. Alia Kelly had a homerun and a double for SCC while Greta Coleman added two hits as well.
Kelly was the losing pitching in the SCC loss to SWOCC giving up 10 hits and the SCC offense was stymied, as Kelly was the only Dolphin with a hit in the game.

On Sunday, Chemeketa jumped out to a 4 run lead in the first inning and scored four more in the 4th to beat SCC 8-0 in a game called by the 8 run rule in the 5th inning. Kelly took the loss for SCC, while Nicole Reyling got two hits for Shoreline, the Dolphins were unable to score. In game two, CCC won 9-4, Kelsie Manson took the loss on the mound but hit a homerun for SCC. Alia Kelly had two hits for SCC as well.

SCC opens its home season on Saturday against Big Bend Community College at 1:00pm.
Nicole Reyling Named "SCC Softball Player of the Week"
D30_2555_sc.jpgShoreline Community College named sophomore shortstop Nicole Reyling as the "SCC Softball Player of the Week" for February 25 through March 3. 

In three games (SCC Vs Big Bend stats are not available) Reyling batted .444 with 4 hits, 3 RBIs, 1 Home Run and 1 run scored as SCC went 2-2 at the NWAACC Pre-Season Tournament in the Tri-Cities last weekend. SCC defeated Big Bend and Yakima Valley, but lost to Columbia Basin and Treasure Valley.

SCC plays this weekend in Portland, OR against Chekemeta and Southwestern Oregon in doubleheaders.
Lady Dolphin Softball Opens Season 2-2 After Preseason Tourny
V6 Softball.jpgThe Shoreline Community College Softball Team opened the season 2-2 after splitting four games at the NWAACC Pre-Season Tournament in the Tri-Cities over the March 2-3 weekend.

SCC defeated Big Bend CC on Saturday but dropped a 10-0 game to Columbia Basin. On Sunday, SCC won over Yakima Valley CC 5-0 but lost to Treasure Valley CC 15-7.

SCC travels to Portland next weekend to play Chemeketa CC and Southwestern Oregon CC in doubleheaders. SCC opens at home on March 16th against Big Bend CC.
